Continuing the comparison of different bike sensors using the ANT+ interface with CycleBike+ and the Bluetooth interface with CycleBike Smart. The Stages power meter send both power data from the left crank and cadence data on both ANT+ and Bluetooth. The first two charts show data recorded simultaneously on two Sony phones, one running CycleBike+ and the other running CycleBike Smart. The apps were set in TrainerMode were the data is recorded every second. Different power levels and cadence rates were purposely maintained for some time. The ANT+ interface seems to over-shoot power more than Bluetooth. I had some trouble with CycleBike+ in the past were power values of several thousand would be sent. I wrote some code in CycleBike+ to insure that the cadence and torque data belong to the same event. This code is not included in the Bluetooth interface in CycleBike Smart, but it appears the overshoot is not as severe.
Next I compare the Stages Cycling cadence data using CycleBike Smart on Bluetooth to a Wahoo cadence sensor measured with CycleBike+ on the ANT+ interface. Power data from the Stages power meter was also recorded simultaneously. The cadence data from the Wahoo sensor seems a bit more erratic than the Stages cadence data. Once again there is considerable over-shoot in the ANT+ power data. In general, though, all the data agrees quite well.
